Initial treatment takes 45 minutes to an hour, please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled appointment time in order to complete some paperwork.

If your injury is running related, please bring your running shoes to be included in the initial assessment. Please bring any test results (such as X-rays or scans) or reports from specialists with you to your appointment.

In your first appointment we will initially ask questions to understand your past history and presenting problem completely. This is followed by a thorough biomechanical assessment to determine the cause of you pain or dysfunction. From here we will spend time explaining and helping you understand the reasons for your pain, and form a treatment plan.

Treatment will usually include a combination of ‘hands on’ manual therapy and home exercises, so you can learn methods of reducing your own pain. Please wear suitable clothing such as shorts so we can adequately assess your injuries.

All of our treatment times are one-on-one to allow us to provide a thorough assessment and treatment plan tailored especially to your needs.  We will never leave you alone with a hot pack or electrical treatment to attend to other patients, as your time is valuable and your recovery is important to us.

Follow up appointments are usually 30 to 40 minutes depending on your problems. When making an initial appointment, our reception team will always book a follow up treatment appointment to ensure continuity of your rehabilitation and care.

Treatment in your follow up appointment will usually include suitable manual therapy (such as massage or joint mobilisation) and also a progression of advice and exercises to help stretch or strengthen muscles that may be contributing to your symptoms. Where possible we will also provide ideas to help you treat your own pain.

We do our best to run on time and we respect that your time is as valuable as ours. If you arrive late, your time with us may be shortened to avoid delaying those scheduled after you. We require a days notice if you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, cancellation fees apply.

You do not need a GP referral for physiotherapy treatment; you can simply contact us directly for an appointment.

However if you wish to claim a medicare rebate (if eligible) or have a DVA recognised injury, you will need a referral from your GP.  Please bring all of your paperwork with you to your appointment. Medicare appointments will be paid for up front, with a rebate processed on the spot if the correct paperwork is provided.  DVA appointments can be bulk billed.

Work Cover Claims can be bulk billed with a GP referral and a work cover claim number.  If your injury is covered by work cover, please bring you paperwork and claim number to your initial appointment so that we can organise your physiotherapy treatment plan directly with your work cover insurance.

Synergy Physio has Hicaps facilities, so you can swipe your health fund card claim directly for your rebate if you fund covers you for physiotherapy treatment.  Eftpos facilities also available.

There is plenty of off street parking available on site, with disabled access to the building and a lift provided to access our clinic on the first floor.
