Are you needing some hands on manual therapy or massage to ease your pain? Are you tired of therapists that simply use hot packs or leave you with electrical machines?
Here at Synergy Physio we love manual therapy and what it can offer you for pain relief and return to function. Used in conjunction with a thorough biomechanical assessment, postural advice and home exercises, it can create a fantastic union to get you back on track to good physical health.
Here at Synergy Physio we believe in giving you our undivided attention, as we know your time is valuable. We do not leave you to treat other patients and do not use electrical machines as therapy. We treat each of our patients with individual care and offer one on one assessment and treatment to relieve your pain and help you back to doing the things you love.
We always provide a thorough biomechanical assessment your problem which includes assessment your movement patterns, your joints and ligaments, as well as your muscle control to determine the cause of your problem. This means our treatment plan is tailored to your specific diagnosis and needs. We may watch or record your running technique or your movement patterns as a part of our assessment to help find the solution to your presenting problem. We may also assess your footwear, your work station and ergonomics to complete our biomechanical assessment.
Once we have completed a thorough assessment of your problem and determined the underlying causes, we then form a treatment plan with you. This often includes manual therapy and a structured rehabilitation plan to get you back to doing the things you love.
The types of manual therapy utilised within a treatment session will include a variety of techniques depending on your injury. These techniques can include:
- Remedial Massage
- Muscle energy technique
- Soft tissue techniques
- Joint mobilisation techniques
- Mulligan Mobilisation
- Functional and sport taping for pain or injury
- Dry Needling
- Muscle retraining
- Cranio-sacral therapy
